Personality: "I will win. That's...what heroes do."
First and foremost, Katsuki Bakugou is someone who excels. From the time that he was young and throughout his teenage years, everything has always come easily to him. When he developed his "quirk" to produce explosions at the young age of four, he was already on a path of victory and ego. "Quirks" are powers that people in My hero Academia at a young age. Some of them are more mundane powers like growing cat ears out of your head, and some of them are power's like Katsuki's, where, if you'd like, you could go down the path of becoming a superhero. And becoming a superhero is exactly what Katsuki was going to do no matter what stood in his way.
Because of the constant praise that Katsuki received from his peers and teachers, he began to thoroughly believe that he was better and more talented than anyone in the world. His personality began to go sour. From a confident and brave child, to a conceited and violent boy who would resort to fighting and bullying to get what he wanted. It was around this time that he began to feel challenged by his quirkless friend Izuku Midoriya. Even though he felt superior to this boy who didn't even have powers, Izuku would stand up to him and even ask Katsuki if he was okay when he fell. Katsuki took Izuku's concern as pity, and pushed the boy from his life by bullying him, and then carried this grudge throughout his life and straight into teenagehood.
To become the greatest hero is Katsuki's goal, and this aspiration comes from a deeply seeded admiration for the number one hero, All Might, a mysteriously strong man with a strength augmentation quirk. From the time before his quirk manifested, to his current canonpoint, Katsuki is always looking at All Might as his vision of strength. When Katsuki was kidnapped by villains and asked to join them, he simply told him that he loved the way that All Might looked when he won, and there was nothing that could ever shake that. Despite his explosive personality and tenacity for brutal fights, Bakugou could never agree with the aspirations of a villain, because his goal will always be All Might. This admiration for the hero is also shared by Izuku Midoriya, and was seemingly the main focus of their friendship as children, as well as their rivalry as teenagers. However, while Izuku admired the way that All Might could always rescue with a smile, Bakugou's admiration would lie in the pose All Might made when he won, and shaped the path he took as a hero.
Perhaps due to the admiration he received growing up, along with his aspiration to be a hero, Katsuki is highly impatient, and has an explosive temper. At times, it's difficult to have a reasonable conversation at all with him due his awful habit of not listening, and blowing up at the slightest irritation. Even when he isn't angry, his "neutral," according to Izuku, is still insults and a grumpy attitude. Usually, luckily enough, his anger will be at least somewhat reasonable, since a lot of his students like to make fun of him for his temper, but there is one exception: Izuku. Because he feels like his childhood friend looks down on him, and even that he lied to him about not having a quirk, Katsuki is quick to explode when Izuku so much as speaks. Because of his, Katsuki bullied the boy for years, and even into high school, he was violent with him for seemingly no actual reason.
However, beneath Katsuki's overflowing pride and temper, he's developed self-confidence issues. Shortly before taking the exam to enter UA, a prestigious high school with a renowned program for heroes, Katsuki was taken hostage by a sludge villain and almost killed. If not for Izuku's interference and All Might's presence, Katsuki would have not been saved, and this the first in a long line of personal failures that have caused Katsuki's self-esteem to fall. Even though he won in the sports festival, he felt as though it was meaningless because Izuku was able to convince Todoroki to use his fire quirk while Katsuki was unable. When he was kidnapped by villains and even asked to become one, he felt as though he was weak for letting himself get captured, especially since All Might inevitably lost what remained of his power while saving Katsuki at that time. While Izuku constantly improved and was far closer to becoming All Might than Katsuki ever could, he was being asked to become a villain, and he started to doubt his aspirations and his goals. His ego crumbled and he grew increasingly frustrated towards himself and in turn towards Izuku, who was the guiding force for all of his failures.
Dubbed a "genius" from a very young age, Katsuki Bakugou is nothing without his intelligence. He ranked 3rd in his class only before Shouto Todoroki and Momo Yaoyorozu, who got into UA via recommendation. He's almost always bored in class because of how easily the work comes to him, and is as good at analyzing as Izuku when he puts his mind to it. However, Katsuki is very apathetic towards most of the people in his class, and especially outside of his class. He doesn't really pay attention to them, and didn't even bother to learn most of their names or quirks. He has a bad habit of thinking of people outside of his sphere of friends and even sometimes within it as "extras". When Katsuki doesn't know someone's name, he'll usually address them by a physical attribute, such as "weird hair," "ponytail," and "round face." It's only once someone reminds him of their name, or he takes the time to respect them enough to learn it, that he'll start to address them by their surnames only. Thus far, he only really addresses his friend Kirishima, Todoroki (an enemy), and Uraraka. He will still only call Izuku by his childhood nickname "Deku."
In spite of Katsuki's awful attitude, he's never lacked friends. Growing up, he always seemed to have a small group following him around, and he maintained at least one of those friends into teenagehood. And upon entering UA, he bonded with Eijirou Kirishima and became fast friends with him despite the fact that he'd always insult him. It just goes to show that if someone's persistent enough, Katsuki will let them follow him around and he'll be more than willing to hang out with them outside of his class and hero work. He's been shown tutoring and spending time with Kirishima outside of class at several points in the manga and in the extra novel. He's also occasionally seen hanging around Hanta Sero. Mina Ashido, and Denki Kaminari, despite his negative attitude towards them and everyone else. Even Izuku isn't someone he wholeheartedly hates, and oftentimes he's the only one Katsuki can "confide" in (aka fight) and cry in front of. However, at this point in time, the person he hangs out with the most, and seems to respect the most, is Kirishima.
In his free time, Katsuki is usually seen training and sometimes studying, or he's hanging out with his friends. And if all else fails, he's sleeping. Aside from his hero work, Katsuki has an affection for mountain climbing, and playing video games. He almost never does anything that could ever get him in trouble, not even letting his friends smoke around him, just in case it goes on his permanent record. He obsessively brushes his teeth, and he fights with his mother when he's at home. He can't sleep straight in bed to save his life, and he occasionally explodes if you tick him off. To summarize, Katsuki is a hero in training, but before that, he's rather simply a teenage boy just trying to figure out his exact place in life.
Abilities and Nerfs: Katsuki can produce a nitroglycerin-like fluid from the sweat glands in his palms, which he can then automatically ignite to create explosions. In his world, superhuman abilities like these are called "quirks," and quirks are someone that about 80% of the population in the world have. Katsuki has the utmost control over his quirk, and can create small explosions as well as huge, destructive ones with ease. The only drawback is that he has trouble producing the nitroglycerin sweat when he's cold, and continual use of his quirk will also cause pain. He's often shown after an intense fight holding his arms in pain. He's currently training to give himself more stamina with his explosions, and owns equipment that helps him last longer during hero training.
Katsuki's physical and mental abilities are also nothing to scoff at. Dubbed a "genius" by those around him, Katsuki has skills in and out of battle that put him above most of his peers easily. His test scores rank 3rd in his class, and most things come to him easily, which does nothing to help his ego. He uses this intellect, along with his superior physical strength, to dominate in battle. And despite his temper, he's almost always able to keep cool mid-battle and make quick strategies to best his enemies. And with his stubborn desire to become the best, he's always training to become even better than he was before.

Appearance: Casual and Hero outfits. He's blonde, has red eyes, and desperately needs to pull up his pants. His aged up appearance isn't too different from his regular one. He's a few inches taller, and his face is more angular than it is round.
